RezTown Visitor Pillar

We're about ready to make our new RezTown Visitor Pillar available in our store. As always, you'll be able to purchase this item with Rez Tokens.

When you place such a pillar on your property, the number of visitors will be tracked and shown here on our site. Use the "RezTown Places" link to find RezTown compatible places with a visitor count showing. This will allow others to easily find active RezTown places without having to visit them first.

As the owner of a visitor pillar, you can change the visitor search range or even opt to make this visitor pillar invisible.

Earn T150/week

We've just made a RezTown billboard available at our RezTown store that allows you to earn Rez Tokens just by placing this sign at your property. If this sign stays up for 7 days on your property, we will automatically add T150 to your account.

Custom Content Coming Soon...

Let's talk a bit about custom content. Custom content will play a VERY important role in the success of RezTown. In our first phase, we are concentrating our efforts around the greening objects. Currently we are testing custom content pose balls that will support the following needs: Hunger, Energy, Fun, Social, Hygiene, Bladder, and Comfort.

All tests seem positive but we definitely don't want to roll this out until we're 100% sure that everything is working as expected. Our beta testers are currently trying to see if these pose balls are indeed easy to use within their own creations.

You'll be able to adjust the pose balls any way you like (shape, color, text, transparency, rotation, positioning). If you drop a custom animation in your pose ball, this one will automatically be picked up by our pose ball script.

These pose balls will be offered for sale for Rez Tokens in our store. The copy versions will allow you to create AND sell your own greening objects for Rez Tokens.

When your needs drop...

A new RezTown HUD update has been made available...

To prevent you from having to click on the "Stat" icon in your RezTown HUD, we will now alert you once it's NEARLY time to green, and again when it IS TIME to green.

Also new is the fact that you'll be fined T5 every 2 minutes if you don't green yourself up due to the environmental issues you're causing for the people around you. Why? It's simple, we don't want your avi to smell! Yes, you can thank us later for that one! :)

RezTown Hearts Game

As you'll notice, we'll be adding more and more content to RezTown. We expect to come out with new additions to RezTown about every 2 weeks. We've just completed testing our RezTown Hearts Game which will be officially available in our RezTown store within a day or two.

Feel free to invite your RezTown friends over to the "money shack" (see RezTown Places) to start playing hearts already!

Next we'll be dedicating our time to custom content as that is a very important part of RezTown. Within 1-2 weeks you should be able to start creating your own greening objects. We'll keep you informed on the progress!

Launching RezTown

Where do I start? I had a dream...

Remember "The Sims Online", later also known as "EA Land"? I used to play "The Sims Online" very often. As a matter of fact, I even created an online profile site for people that played "The Sims Online". To me the biggest challenge "The Sims Online" had to face was it's limitations. User created content never really existed in TSO (or EA Land) but will play a major important role in RezTown. More on this later...

Over a year ago now, I decided to create a platform simular but at the same time also very different from The Sims Online. Being a long time TSO member, I tried to learn from their mistakes and build a game that will hopefully be fun at all times. Today, August 23 - 2008, will be known within our own community as RezTown day. It's the day that RezTown finally became available to the public after a long series of tests. I'm sure we'll bump into some issues here and there but together we will hopefully succeed in making RezTown a success! If you have some great ideas or suggestions for RezTown, make sure to let us know.
